Burgeon Beer's Tasting Experience in Little Italy: The Arbor
Burgeon at the Arbor is our latest taproom expansion in San Diego that provides innovative craft beer and locally-sourced food to the Little Italy community and surrounding neighborhoods. The Arbor’s stunning cedar features and lush greenery transport you to the great outdoors without you ever having to leave downtown. Nestled in the ground floor of the Savina Building at the corner of Kettner Boulevard and A Street, it is minutes from San Diego’s waterfront, Santa Fe Depot, Petco Park, and other local attractions.
Sustainable by Design
With efforts focused on sustainability and service to our community, it is our mission to provide unique experiences in eco-friendly and resourceful ways. We sourced, milled, and gave a second life to reclaimed wood from the 2003 Cedar Fire to create our signature bar tops and accents throughout our Carlsbad, Escondido, and Downtown locations. Every process from the brewery to the scratch kitchen is optimized for low-to-no waste and to minimize our footprint on the environment.
Roll Up Doors
17 foot roll-up doors stretch from floor-to-ceiling at The Arbor, providing you with an indoor-outdoor, signature SoCal experience. These doors allow for sea breezes and sunlight to shine in and look out on our two patios.
Oldest Bartop in San Diego
The tree that provided us with the bar top for The Arbor was 425 years old before it was felled by the Cedar Fire of 2003. We are humbled to give it a second life in our new location, where it will serve as a central feature for shared beer and dining experiences for years to come. Each ring you see on this cross-section marks a year spanning back to 1578!
The Trellis
The heart of The Arbor is a soaring structure full of greenery and reclaimed cedar. This beautifully-crafted wooden trellis towers overhead and fosters the spirit of growth that is central to our brewery and team.
The Mural
We brought The Arbor to life with a beautiful mural that represents our commitment to the environment through sustainable practices and our love for the outdoors. We teamed up with talented local artist @jesone whose creative passion is evident in every stroke of this tribute to mother nature.
