We've joined 1% for the Planet

Since opening the brewery in 2016, we’ve proudly planted over 30,000 trees and donated to hundreds of local and global non-profits. As climate change presents even more challenges for people across the world, we’re eager to amplify our impact and go bigger than we ever have before. Enter: 1% for the Planet. Membership means that we take responsibility for the health of our planet by donating one percent of annual sales to environmental partners who are vetted and approved based on the highest standards.

With every purchase made with us, you are supporting a small business (thanks!) that has chosen to put people and planet first (you rock.) Let's craft a bright future, one sip at a time.

  • Commit

We commit to donating at least 1% of our annual sales to environmental organizations.

  • Give

We donate directly to environmental organizations in the 1% network (AKA carbon emissions' worst enemies.)

  • Certify

No bullsh*t: we submit donation receipts and revenue documentation to certify as a 1% for the Planet member.

  • Amplify

Join us in getting real about the climate crisis by supporting brands who proudly wear the 1% for the Planet label.

From Burgeon's Founders

“Since inception, Burgeon has worked with numerous local and national nonprofits to help build a better planet," say's Burgeon co-founder and President, Matthew Zirpolo. "We have created beers to raise funds and awareness for those organizations. Our goal was not only to have a positive impact but to inspire others to do so as well. We have used beer as a vessel for the positive change that this world desperately needs.

People and organizations across the world need to take action and at Burgeon we hope to lead by example. We want to create a world that future generations can enjoy. That is why becoming members is important to us. By partnering with 1% for the Planet we can promote our shared mission and work with other like-minded brands to amplify our impact.”
